As of August 2016, Sylvia Day has decided not to renew Lionsgate's rights for optioning of the Crossfire Television Series. After 3 years of "in development" Sylvia has decided to keep her adaptation rights, and hopes that one day, she can find the right partner to bring the much anticipated, Crossfire Series to life.
This was posted on her website. No further news as to why or what made her change her mind. Sadly, this breaks the hearts of many fans who were anxiously awaiting any new news since its announcement in 2013.
